Eric Kosch, Principal
Dear Parents:
Welcome to the 2011-12 school year at Vivian Banks Charter School! I am extremely excited to be your principal and am looking forward to the new school year, working closely with a dedicated staff, committed parents, and eager students to make it a terrific year for all. It is inspiring to be back at Vivian Banks as we support our mission of improving academic achievement and supporting all students.
I would like to first congratulate you on the outstanding work the entire Vivian Banks Learning Community has undoubtedly put fourth over the past years. Through your teamwork, determination and high expectations Vivian Banks has become a premier learning community.
Our school is a learning community that seeks success for each student as we strive to deepen our core values of: citizenship, caring, trustworthiness, respect, fairness and responsibility. We believe that children should want to come to school each day to learn new things about themselves and the world around them. We set high expectations and create a caring environment for all of our students. Students are the focus of our educational program and are expected to demonstrate the skills, abilities and potential that we know they possess.
Parents are valued partners in our educational system and are encouraged to visit the school, consult with the staff and participate in school functions. We routinely hold parent education nights, focusing on academics and parenting skills. Our PA (Parent Association) is a highly respected organization that is actively involved in our school. The Pala Tribe, Bonsall Foundation, Pala Fire Department and the Palma Valley Lions Club are valued support networks for our school.
We encourage each member of our educational system to work together to provide the highest quality educational program possible. I am proud to state,”Vivian Banks Elementary School is a positive place where everyone learns and succeeds”. Our motto of the year is: Teamwork makes the dream work. We are looking forward to a great year!
Sincerely,
Eric Kosch
